Tourism management studies provide an opportunity to learn the organization and management of travel, the management principles of accommodation and tourism and hospitality service companies, the principles of catering services, tourism logistics, as well as the nuances of creating and implementing a tourism business. Tourism is one of the most dynamic, global and in-demand industries in the world. In addition, tourism today cannot be imagined without technology, so students learn how to use technology both in company management and in the provision of various services.

The study program “Management of companies in the tourism and hospitality industry” offers to acquire the necessary knowledge in the fields of tourism and hospitality business, and also provides an opportunity to practically improve your skills both in teamwork and in a multicultural environment, which is becoming a necessity nowadays. During their studies, students learn to understand the different way of thinking and life approach of other cultures, as well as develop critical thinking and the ability to express their opinion in a structured way. These are values that graduates can put into practice in their professional lives. Graduates of the tourism management professional bachelor’s study program get not only a diploma certifying education and qualification, but also a certificate for involvement in additional activities.

During their studies, students get to know the “behind-the-scenes” work of many hospitality and tourism companies both in Latvia and abroad. One of the most valuable benefits is visiting the world’s leading tourism exhibition “ITB Berlin”.

The study program “Management of companies in the tourism and hospitality industry” has been awarded TedQual accreditation by the prestigious UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) for a maximum period of four years, until 2026.

The study program is accredited until 2024.

After graduating from the study program, students can continue to improve their skills in the professional master’s study program “Strategic Management of Tourism” , as well as in other bachelor’s or master’s study programs offered by Turība University of Business.
