Course Info

Safe and smart roads, bridges and railways, durable pavements and efficient infrastructure designs have a significant impact on daily travel and logistics. As transport infrastructure receives a large proportion of state investment, there is an ever-growing demand for technical specialists who would create efficient road designs, plan, organize, supervise the construction and maintenance of roads, and minimize costs and consumption of resources in the process. Specialists in this field are in high demand by local authorities, private companies, contracting, consulting and regulatory organizations.

Future road engineers study mathematics, physics, IT, engineering graphics, material science, computer-aided drawing, road design, structural calculations, surveying, road maintenance, etc. Theoretical knowledge is consolidated and further developed in practical training, which lasts up to 20 weeks in total and is conducted in five stages: introductory training and surveying fieldwork are performed at KTK; marking training, industry and final internships are performed at partner companies.

Career Opportunities

Graduates can work in various fields of road engineering, prepare road designs, estimates and surveys, evaluate construction products, plan, organize and technically supervise road construction, reconstruction or repair works, prepare business and economic activity plans for their company (division) and analyze the economic business environment.
